Was Dad's

Started this project when I was 15. Couple years of work, then this truck got put on the back burner. 15 years later I'm finally wrapping up this project. This truck has been in the family since '75, and was used as a farm truck for many years.

That is a nice looking truck. I really like that blue. When do you plan to have it done?

Re: Was Dad's

Congrats on the upcoming wedding.
That is a great list of parts. It sounds and looks like it's going to be a great truck.

Re: Was Dad's

Cleaned out the truck last night after many years of storage, and found the great surprise of dead mice. I did have a 355 built for this truck, and found mouse feces in the carb and just an overall mess. Have a buddy who will purchase the engine and the th350 tranny. Thinking of putting a 383 in to pair up with my new 700R4. Any input on where to order good crate motors from?

Re: Was Dad's

Friday my buddy and I start with removing the 355. Then we begin the puzzle. Anybody that has any input for installing any of the parts I ordered, would be much appreciated.
Boyd welding fuel cell.
Moser 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 eaton locker
Ride tech four corner air ride with 5 gallon air pod and e3 system
700 R4 from bowtie overdrive with 2200 stall converter
CPP upper and lower tubular control arms
Vintage Air.
Retro Sound Usa Model 2 radio
Will 13" slotted/vented rotors with 6 piston front and 4 piston rear calipers.
Ididit column shift, steering column.
Dakota Digital VHX gauge package
Brother trucks one piece window kit.
Dakota digital led tail lights and clear markers all around.

I had the factory bench seat re-done, however I found that being 6'3" I don't fit in the truck any more. I am looking for a nice 40-20-40 seat. Found on rv discount, not sure of their quality etc...

My goal is to have this truck done by June 23rd. Any tips and tricks would be much appreciated.
