Where are you getting your PCM reprogrammed? What color are you painting the Blaz-air?

Again showing how ignorant I really am about GM engines, what I should have said ZR1-LT5 vette engine. ZR1-LT5

I really get sick of the GM car salesman knowing nothing about the product they are selling. It kinda reminds me of when I go to wally world and ask the guy in electronics about a big screen tv. Know what I mean.

Thunder Racing in Baton Rouge, La. They will reprogram it and dyno the vehicle for $100

That sounds like a sweet deal $100. I figured you would keep it a secret. That looks like some high $$$$ paint on your 52 so I can only imagine....

Here are some updated pics of the bedsides welded on and also some pics of the work being done on the firewall.

Sorry some of the pics are dark

Drivers side being welded up

Passenger side welded up

Firewall pics. Progress of shaving the rain gutter

Straightened out the hump of the clutch hole and shaved the rest. Also shaved of the area to the right where the wiring harness used to go to make it look match the passenger side.

Another pic of the hump of the clutch straightened and shaved.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. Today I am going to install the rockers so I can bolt the doors up and get them lined up so I can start cutting down the doors and capping them off.

Update: I got the passenger door on and lined up along and started shaving the door handle when I ran out of gas in my welder!

Got the front fender on to make sure the door gaps lined up and its starting to look like a blazer again!

Started mocking up the dash today. I need to go get some sheet metal bend to fill in the gap and mold to the A-pillars. That center section will be cut out and shaved to give the entire dash a smooth look. More pics of this progress will come in the next couple of days.

I was wondering, how did you shave the gutter off your firewall? Gring and weld, grind and weld? Or did you weld it up from the back side first then grind?

do as much welding as possible, grind the welds down and then go back and fill in the missed spots weld them and grind. There is a lot of welding and grinding!!!!
