1963c-10 what else is there to the rear support brace. could you post pics? I didn't have one so I added angle iron to the bottom bolts on the carrier and under the rail. I think this carrier is off a fifties truck but fits in well.

You wont have any issues in getting rid of it. Alot of people are looking for the mounts and fenders. Id sell it as a complete set though.

Ok, Thanks....ill look them up. Im wanting around a 2" white wall. American classic has one thats like 1.6", but I dont think its wide enough. The 1st pic is the 3.125", the 2nd pic is the 2.5", and the 3rd pic is the 2". The 3.125" is only $245 each new. Pretty good price. They sell a skinny white 1.65" for $165.

Coker has a G78 with a 2-1/4" WW too. They are 27.5" tall when mounted and aired up.

Thanks You 1963c-10, this is the first time I have seen it. Does it connect to the carrier? What is its purpose? Do I need one? I have plenty of support on the carrier. Cheers!

OK, I should of asked if I already have one. I thought the piece was longer and ran down the rail. Since it didn't come with the carrier and is so far away from the carrier I never though it was part of it. Does it add rail support? The angle iron I added for the bottom of the support bracket was in place of the wear iron that came with the carrier but didn't fit. Am I missing anything else? I hope it doesn't fall off. Thanks 1963c-10 for helping me find the part I needed. lol

It adds support to the top of the bed side to keep it from sagging. It looks to me like your is mounted solid. I don't think you"ll have any issues. There is also a small mount between the top of the fender and the bottom of the bed side (where it rolls), but with you having a long bed, you have an extra support there from the factory (visible in your 3rd pic just behind the tire over the fender). I beleive it was just added to the short beds since they didn't have this extra support on the bedside.

Here's my 64. Someone has turned the spare tire mount slightly counter clockwise and remounted it. Im guessing they did it to mount a tool box or something across the bed.
