I have some used car seats that work great with the stock bench seat. These seats are designed for school bus seats and strap to the seat back and the seat base. The manufacturer certifies them for six years and for liability reasons the bus company was not going to keep using them past the certification date.

I used this type of seat in my TF when my son was young, and I used two of them in the back of my '36 Plymouth so both of my kids could go for rides. If you are from the "something is better than nothing" camp then these might be for you. All I ask is that you cover shipping cost. Please note these seats are only being given away for research purposes and should never be used in a way not endorsed by the manufacturer.
