To convert an NV4500 to 4 wheel drive you need a 4 wheel drive main shaft.
Im gonna keep my current setup for now. when I blow up the 700r4 or the np208 then I will look into upgrading to a 4l80e/np205 setup. I really enjoy the automatic transmission. My truck came with a th350 and I swapped to a Super t-10 4 speed, but it wasnt as awesome as I had hoped, I had to baby the clutch or it would burn out on accident all the time. I would break tires loose when shifting, it was just too fast and not as plesant to drive. not my style anymore. the 700r4 is a wonderful transmission. The next one will be a 4l80E. but ill cross that bridge when I come to it.
