Thanks! Hopefully only a few more weeks. I'm glad I decided to look into the condition of the braking systems, drivetrain and hubs, they definitely needed the maintenance.

Re: '66 GMC K25 - Project "Mabel"

She's ALIVE.........

While I couldn't resist taking her out, she still needs another brake bleed, a bath, rear bumper installed, and the cab/doors de-glossed. While the Allis-Chalmers Persian Orange #2 is getting mostly good reviews (surprisingly enough...), I am still trying to figure out if I really like it or not.

I applied a filter to it using Imgur. I was just messing around and liked it because of the exact same reason you had mentioned. I'm not sure if I can technically call Mabel a "barn-find", but that is what I really like about the trucks that are left as-is (at least on the surface). They always have a old-school, vintage vibe about them. The look old, they drive old and they even smell old (the old truck/tractor smell of this truck is actually what sold my wife on it...).

Hopefully no big projects will need to be tackled this Summer. Huge props to you Nik for diligently working on yours. I only had mine apart for 8 or so months and felt like bailing on it. Yours will be well worth all of the time and effort though.

Yes. Man i wish my wife had the same point of view as yours. She cant stand it, and honestly the entire neighborhood cant stand it. Ive had the city over here multiple times about an abandoned vehicle, they never believe me that it drives.

EDIT: just noticed the date on this.... anyways, its still true.
