I am working on one with the same spring (62 chevy suburban) I have put 2 washers on the lower block on the firewall to change the angle a bit. Just have to figure out the placement on the pedal for the right through length.

Re: '60-'62 POwer Brake Booster Adapter Bracket With A Clutch

Isn't there another clutch return spring elsewhere, so you can remove that huge spring and bracket? I do not currently have a '60-'62 cab to look at, but I do not recall seeing that spring on all the '60-'62's.

It seems to be a help spring for an softer clutch.
We are adding a 2 washer spacer to change the angle a bit with a longer bolt to keep the original spring and gain the small amount of clearence needed. Should Work fine Ill keep you informed and try to take Pictures.

Re: '60-'62 POwer Brake Booster Adapter Bracket With A Clutch

All of my booster brackets now come with slotted booster mounting holes to also accept aftermarket universal boosters with the 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" center to center mounting studs.

Re: '60-'62 POwer Brake Booster Adapter Bracket With A Clutch

I am using a nv3500 5 spd with internal slave cylinder. The factory master for this slave cylinder is 18mm. I would need a clutch master that matches that. Also i would like to do the lower pedal mod that i have seen many do where it lowers all the pedals. Will your linkage allow for the shorter throw of the clutch since it will be closer to the floor?

Re: '60-'62 POwer Brake Booster Adapter Bracket With A Clutch

I have a .700" bore clutch master in stock. The threaded rod between the clevis and the rod end could be shortened. This depends on how much you are going to move the pedals. In moving the pedals, you will need to maintain the original pedal travel distance. If that is not possible, we may need to increase the bore size of the clutch master.

Re: '60-'62 POwer Brake Booster Adapter Bracket With A Clutch

I am sure it will be a shorter throw. Do you think that you could get by with a straight rod going in the clutch master cylinder

It is possible but hard to say for sure until the pedal assembly is done and you see what the stroke of the clutch pedal is where the clutch master will have to attach.

The Wilwood clutch masters went up in price again, so I had to raise my price on this conversion.

Re: '60-'62 POwer Brake Booster Adapter Bracket With A Clutch

Hey CaptainFab, I'm finally getting around to installing your power brake booster bracket and have a quick install question. On the clutch bracket that mounts on the inside of the firewall there are two hex shaped spacers welded to the bracket, one is threaded, the other is not. At the tip of the spacers there are small "nubs" - one on each spacer. What is the purpose of these nubs? Do I just tighten the mounting bolts and pull them into the metal on the firewall? I'll attach a couple of pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks for your help - this is definitely a well made piece!

Re: '60-'62 POwer Brake Booster Adapter Bracket With A Clutch

The notches machined in the ends of the coupling nuts are there for a specific reason. They are machined like that to straddle the double sheetmetal lap joint on the inside of the firewall and keep the pivot mount sitting flat.

Yes you are welcome to come pick up your order at my shop. But I do not have any products welded up and sitting on shelves. All orders are build in the order received. Due to an overwhelming number of orders, I am currently 25 days out on building and shipping orders. I will need to know what you are using for a clutch slave cylinder or hydraulic release bearing.

Re: '60-'62 POwer Brake Booster Adapter Bracket With A Clutch

Due to an increase in the cost of having my parts laser cut, I have been forced to raise my prices. I'm not making any more money, just trying to stay in business with these increases in my costs. Thanks for understanding.

How well does your truck stop with that small of a single diaphragm?

Honestly it stops great. Good pedal feel after lowering the mounting point an inch on the brake pedal. I'm running wilwood d52's up front and eldorado rears.
