Re: Painted Grills?

Kind of...My whole truck is less than perfect so even though I painted my grille..I wanted it to match.(Less than perfect.) I just put this on the other week. I wasnt sure about the mesh but I think I'm going to keep it. I painted it with a "Black chrome" kit from duplicolor. Honestly the paint didnt turn out the way I had hoped but It ended up matching. It looks like its seen some miles. Just like the rest of the truck. Hope this helps.

Re: Painted Grills?

Mine looks almost identical to 81C10 but I left the symbol gold. used the same flat black I used on the rest of the truck. It gives it a pretty agressive look

Re: Painted Grills?

My original one was broken and faded. So i went to the junk yard and picked up one with a good emblem, and painted it. Base clear in rattle can, gm silver and black. I chose black because the upper half of my truck is black, rather than grey, which its supposed to be.

sweet looking truck man! I have a 86 GMC like yours, and I was planning on painting this summer, I think I will do something very similar to yours. That is if you dont mind?
