Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

I'm now in the market for a new gas tank. I'm looking at your EFI (340) side fill for a 68 c10. Are there any member specials or sales coming up that would help sway me in your direction?

You may have better luck contacting Dave directly off of his website - http://www.boydwelding.com

Or better yet try Travis at AZ Pro Performance - http://www.azproperformance.com/Boyd...nks-67-72-C10/

Good luck.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

I need a fuel pump assembly so I would be in on some kind of buy. I am finding it harder than I thought to pony up the $350 they want for a $100 pump and a little aluminum, wire, hose and a couple clamps. Need to justify that or use an external pump.

I sent Boyd welding a emai about the possibility of a spring sale or group buy and this was the word I received---Unfortunately we do not have any sales or group buys planned at this time.

We might be better contacting a fender that sells these tanks and go that route.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

Hey guys, after a conversation this morning with Dave, we are now signing up as a distributor for Boyd Welding.

Dave and I both agree that a "Group Purchase" type of deal would complicate delivery of your tanks and won't save you anything more than a forum buy.

I propose that you PM me what you are after (Year, Carb, EFI, etc) and we will put together the best deal to your door that we can.

Here are some of the parts you may need/want with your tank:

1/2" Roll Over Saftey Vent

0-90 OHM Sender (63-72)

240-33 OHM Sender (Universal Aftermarket)

0-30 OHM Sender (pre 63)

Sending Unit Block off Plate and Gasket

TANK MOUNT KIT 63-72 TANKS ONLY

Boyd Welding 12 Bolt EFI Gasket

5 Bolt Sending unit gasket

EFI Bracket with Aeromotive Stealth 340 Pump

Machined Aluminum Threaded Cap and Neck

Machined Flush Floor Fill Kit

Modification of Standard Tank

Powder Coat (Black, Silver, White, Red)

We will need to know what state you are in for shipping as well.

Thanks
MCB Parts

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

As most of you know, we are dealers as well for these tanks, and been selling them for over 5 years now. I wouldn't use any other tank in the C10 trucks, and the quality is excellent!

We have helped many members with their tanks. Fell free to contact us and are able to answer any questions you may have. We have installed quite a few.

We even offer a direct fit EFI line kit for all the LS setups.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

For the people who have bought a bed fill tank, what have you done for the gas cap (using it with wood)? I have a '66 and Boyd's optional gas cap interferes with the bed strips.

I have no idea why those 2 images are sideways.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

This is what I'm using. I just bought the tank and did a quick mock up to see how it looks. My plan is to remove the bed this week. Make suspension upgrades and tank install. Bought this from Summit it measures 3 1/2 diameter

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

I have a Boyd tank -- I ordered it without a cap and it came with just the alum nipple with a barb around the top. I just verified the hose purchased from Summit and it fits perfect. 2"ID

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

Any dealers offering black Friday sales on the tanks? Looking to purchase an EFI side exit for my 71 with roll over valve, mounting kit and 0-90 ohm sender.
