The injectors worked fine. I think I had to pop the plastic caps off the end to get them to slip into the intake, but it's been so long I can't remember.

I’m a self taught gearhead. So, I know the injector bottoms out in the intake, then I slightly brought it back ever so slightly. So the end cap comes off and the injector, then should protrude through the base of the intake? Thanks Mike

As long as it seals on the o ring, you're good (at least from a no-leak perspective). But, in some intakes, the cap on the end of the truck injector stops it from pushing into the intake far enough to seal. So you have to remove the caps. They'll pull of with a pair of pliers.

I know dayj1 personally and he is that way with his time and his knowledge in the "real world" too.

Thanks! I don't think there are many of us who do everything to our trucks by ourselves. I know my projects wouldn't turn out as well as they do nor be finished as quickly if I didn't have help from my friends. And, of course, that includes all the side projects I send your way!

Packaging was the big reason for me. Incorporating a feed and a return line and the appropriate bulkheads for the pump and the sender is a lot to put in a stock sending unit as it's pretty small. It'd also be tough to get a pump and float through the stock hole in the tank.

I'm sure the stock sender could be modified to work, but I went with what I thought was an easier/better alternative for me.

Hey, looking to do a similar swap and my issue is leg room in the cab. It looks like you had plenty of room in that area behind the driver's side cylinder head to mount your coils. If I didn't do that, would I be able to push that area of the firewall, where the throttle pedal attaches, forward an inch or two without interfering with the back of the engine? It almost looks like the firewall could be flush all the way across behind the engine in your photos.
