Re: Let's See Your Wheel/Tire Combo

Running mine the way it came, except for the white letters. Those trucks & all the ones older than those just gotta have white letters, in my opinion.

That's the way it should look! I'm a white letter guy too, but tire selection is getting fewer and further between!

My youngest daughter had a '91 C1500 Sport in the same color scheme...305/5 speed.

Re: Let's See Your Wheel/Tire Combo

That just looks right.

I like the sidewalls black on my 4wds. To me they are a race track look for the street. But I did run one set of 255/85s with RWOLs out. It gave it a sporty from factory look for a work truck

Re: Let's See Your Wheel/Tire Combo

IMO, work truck? Black walls all the way, on any wheel.
Any 1/2 ton reg cab shorty? White letters out, any wheel.
Personal use 3/4, 1 tons, black walls.

Agree. Those later model wheels look great on that truck.

x2. Like both. I really like the earlier wheels on short bed regular cabs, both steelies with caps and rallyes. I'd like to get an 88-98 shortbed and run argent wide steelies with caps, or body color depending on colors of truck. I'd like a solid color single headlight with argent steelies and 76-91 caps. I also do like those chrome sport wheels. The ones that came on SS454s.

I saw a '90s K2500 with widened OEM wheels this past weekend at Carlisle. He had them black with no beauty rings. They were 9.5 rear and 8.5 front for some reason. I want to do a set 8" all around, painted and trimmed as OEM, for that "double-take" look.

Re: Let's See Your Wheel/Tire Combo

I never showed the new BFG A/Ts on the 7" Accurides I repainted white. I've very happy with the fit and look.
