97 Tahoe camshaft sensor replacement relearn
I had a couple of hesitations and P0340 code this past week. I swapped out the cam shaft position sensor. When I started it after the swap, it ran rough. What is the process for the relearn?
Can I do this without a highend scan tool? Thanks, Steve

Re: 97 Tahoe camshaft sensor replacement relearn
Yep, and that was my problem. When I dropped it back in, I was a tooth or two off. It looked good at the time. The cam retard was +/- 45 when I tried to start it. We got in into the mid 20's and then moved it a tooth or two. Then we got the cam retard to 0. Ran perfect after that. The P1345 popped up in there at some point.
The reason I asked about the relearn, I saw that message when ordering the part that it may be possible. Thanks for the reply Speedy.
