1990+ Headlight bulb options

I have been searching for a better headlight option. There are 9005/9006 LED bulbs that look like the halogen bulbs but I worry about the heat. I have also seen LED bulbs that have fans built in. What I dont want to happen is to have an LED bulb that melting the original plastic housing. I have seen that in other applications.

My current halogen bulbs with the plastic housings suck.. I can run with my high-beams on and no one complains. At some point I plan to swap with the older quad glass headlights when my budget permits.

Let me know what you are running.

Thanks
Steve

Re: 1990+ Headlight bulb options

I’ve used many of the Amazon brands and stuck with the auxito line leds. The Sealight and Fahren were decent too. Fans and no fans, tried them all.

Never a heat issue or ever melted any of the plastic housings. Have leds in my 97, 98, 99 for well over 4 years and never one issue. I also did the light modification for full power years ago and still never any issues with leds.

I have Auxbeams and really like them. I did the 4 hi mod too, makes a HUGE difference....
They have a fan, never noticed if they got too hot or not.
