72 Throttle Cable

Ok, I am having a heck of a time finding a throttle cable for a 72. Why? Is it not made anymore or is only one company selling it now?

I mean, it is just a cable, right?

Re: 72 Throttle Cable

What engine? I6 & V-8's are different. 2wd or 4wd? I believe there may be a difference.

All that being said I replaced the one PO installed on my Burban with one I got from a 79 squarebody in the wrecking yard. I just took a measurement from the firewall to the bracket and looked for one that was close. Photo shows the one the PO installed and the one I replaced it with.

Re: 72 Throttle Cable

When I did my rod linkage to cable upgrade in my 70, I bought a new cable from Napa. It was a couple of years ago, but I just walked in and pick it up.
