Anybody know how high the rockers are welded into door jamb on 1967-1972 Chevy

I purchased some new sheet metal for both sides of my 1968 Chevy C10 which includes rockers, inner rockers then front and rear cab supports.

When I get to the rockers what does the factory installation of a rocker panel look like on a 1968 Chevy C10. I am not exactly sure if my factory rockers have been messed with already and want to see other examples of the door jamb area where the top of the rockers are.

You really can’t accurately go about it this way. The best thing to do is keep the doors on it and when you hang the new outer rocker, mount it so that it gives you a good gap between the door and rocker at the bottom and nothing rubs anywhere while opening and closing the door. Use sheet metal screws to hold it in place while you adjust it around and get it fitting good. You may have to make pie cuts in a few places or otherwise modify it some to get it fitting right.

I think that I have confused you for what I am asking. I know about getting it properly aligned, possibly having to pie cut and making sure gaps are good....but I am not sure if i need to trim off the top of my rocker panel or not as I do not know how far it is supposed to extend up the inner door jamb pillars. Not sure if that explains it better. I will try and take some pics this evening of the area I am talking about.

Look for small indentations at the edges of the rockers. Like little dimples. The factory uses a spot weld that leaves the little dimple. They should be 3-4” apart at all the edges
