Restoring a 1975 Silverado Have Questions

Hello I am restoring a 1975 K10 Silverado. When I got the truck it had a utility bed that the PO had put on. What should the tailgate be for a 1975? Does it have Chevrolet evenly placed across the tailgate or the small chevrolet off to the right. What color should the chrome body trim have with it. I have seen both yellow and black. Would a Silverado have the chrome inlay on the center of the tailgate with chevrolet on it. What color would the transfer case have been painted or would it have been natural.
Thanks for any help

The '75 has the letters evenly across the whole tailgate. Yellow trim is on the '77 only. I have a '76 that has a newer bed and tailgate and the letters are off to the right side. I've been searching for a correct gate for a while now.

The info at this link will help you with all the trim questions and what was included with the Silverado package.

But quick answer- yes it will have the wide satin finished aluminum panel in the center of the tailgate with the Chevrolet emblem off to the right side. The Cheyenne trim package got the narrow band that would be inset in the center of the tailgate with the Chevrolet emblem.

The transfer cases were similar to red oxide/primer color. Chrysler Industrial red also works and is pretty close.

Classic Parts has the correct tail gate. Now, I can't vouch for it's quality/fitment, but it does look correct.
