Under dash clunk

I picked up a 2002 RCSB that I did a bit of work to,put a 2/4 kit in it,and some basic maintenance, but it had the dreaded under dash clunk,as you probally well know it is the lower steering column bushing, very common on these truck,it is very annoying, well after doing some research on the web,I stumbled across a guy who put a rad hose clamp around the lower pert of the column and the bushing, well I tried it,and it worked,no more clunk, also while I was the down there,it also had famous brake pedal wobble also, went to GM and for 89 cents picked up a brake pedal bushing, changed that out,and absolutely no more rattles from under the dash while driving on rough roads.Just thought I would let everyone know about this trick if you have been trying to chase thes rattles down.
