Unique 68 GMC

A friend owns this truck. Says the history he got on it was it belonged to a railroad company. It has the V6, 3 ott, and at one time a wood bed floor. I assume the big 19.5’s are original. There is no SPID. Just wanted to share.

A working truck. And it looks like it was worked hard.

Man I’d like to have that radio delete plate if your friend is willing to sell it.
Please let me know.

Re: Unique 68 GMC

Probably wasnt much listed on the spid when it was there. They didnt spring for gages and most likely had painted bumpers, and no radio. It would have listed a wood bed and special paint possibly

Re: Unique 68 GMC

Those big rims with lots of back space were to allow the truck to run on RR tracks.. The truck probably never had bumpers. Special hydraulic raised and lowered "guide" wheels were installed in place of the bumpers.
