Wood Bed Creaks and Squeaks

I have a wood floor bed on 67 swb. I've been under it multiple times tightening and retightening things. It use to be a steel floor truck and I had the whole bed apart. Do a lot of these wood floor beds make a lot noise normally? It's really annoying!

Mine's an early 1800s antique and it definitely squeaks. As far as trucks I've had they didn't make noise that I recall. In fact, they are quiet compared to a steel floor.

Re: Wood Bed Creaks and Squeaks

Mine is silent and I had my 8 year old do most of the tightening, so no, they're not usually noisy.

Re: Wood Bed Creaks and Squeaks

What rubber bushings did you use when you mounted it?

I used some rubber pads that I had laying around. I might order the right ones if that makes a difference

Re: Wood Bed Creaks and Squeaks

I think that might be your problem, sounds like they might be a bit too soft and allowing some movment.
