5 lug conversion kit with new Eaton Posi and bearings
I'm doing a complete rebuild on the 12-bolt in my 1968 C-10. I also plan on buying new 5 bolt axles as long as i have everything apart. My question is; is their a vendor that sells everything as a kit? I need the 5 bolt axles, Eaton posi carrier with 3.73 ring and pinion, and all the bearings and axle seals. Or is it easier to buy the axle conversion kit separately from the carrier,gears and bearings?

Summit racing will have the parts you need .
I would double check axle length before ordering or axle code of the axle tube to verify which 12 bolt you have pre 70 axles are a bit shorter then post 70 12 bolt axles |

The axle code stamped on the axle tube is HA so should be the original 12 bolt with 3.73 gears. Summit Racing does sell a kit that contains the 5 lug axle conversion and a Yukon posi carrier. I don't know much about Yukon, but is this a decent posi unit? I'm going to be running a LS 6.0 with some upgrades and a 4L60 transmission and really don't want any reliability issues with it.

I used Quick they sold me the whole thing hub to hub.

Yukon posi are good they make a great rp sets too
Myself I am going to use original eaton posi that my dad hid from me for 30 plus years still like new |
