AC repairs didn't take
'97 c1500 'burb 5.7 dual air.
So my AC has been "bad" for a while. Compressor leaked. Anyway, I decided to be part of the cool kids again, and replace the compressor, condenser, receiver drier, orifice tube, and manifold hose (high & low pressure hoses that hook to the compressor). Vacuumed the system for a good long time. Brought it down to -24.5psi (theoretical maximum for my elevation) and it held vacuum for about 12 hours, so I decided time to charge. So I charged, but I'm not cold. Ambient is 85°F. Low pressure side is 45psi, high side is 250psi. Condenser is hot. Low pressure side is cool, not cold. Neither the front nor rear blow cold air. I didn't use a thermometer, but if it's cooling the air, it's only by 5-10°. Took it for a drive, still the same results. Any ideas what I did wrong?

Check your temp door operation (motor and door). also, you can clean out the a/c fins using this method, especially if it's dusty a lot which it probably is. http://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/sh...php?tid/282054

Re: AC repairs didn't take
Did you flush out the Evaporator before installing all the new parts? Also, those pressures seen high to me for only being 85 outside. At 85, my 97 extended is around 32/185 & blows cold. My charge is 30 oz of r134a. After installing all the parts as you did, turned out my evap was leaking also. Had to replace that.
