Captainfab, I"m doing a 2004 5.3 vortech swap into a 63 Suburban and need a steering box adapter plate and whatever else is needed for the steering swap. Please advise and pm with the particulars. Also need guidance on the correct pump and other bits to connect to stock steering column. Thank you for your expertise and knowledge, Scott

Bought my plate almost 2 years ago and it is still the best part on my truck. No doubt power steering and brakes really save the day!

Good evening Captain! I recently purchased a 65 GMC Suburban 4x4 and I would like to convert it to power steering. It has the 305 V6 and I have the stock power steering pump, bracket and pulleys. From what I was told, it had front and rear ends from a 72 Blazer installed on it, but I have yet to confirm this. It seems to have been retrofitted with a Saginaw manual steering box (model #5695292). There are spacer plates on both sides of the frame that don't look original. The steering is horrible. I've attached a few photos of my current setup. I am not clear exactly what I need to convert it, but I am interested in purchasing your complete setup if it will work for me. Any help you can provide is much appreciated. Thank you, Ken!

I have sold many of my power steering box adapter plates to customers that have installed them on K series frames. I do not yet have a template for locating the plate and box but there is some excellent info to be found here in Les' build thread.

You can keep your original steering column and shaft if you want and just use the tube and flange that I also make.
