Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

started body work on 4th door I installed the glass to make sure everything
still fits and works as it should. I did not want to run into any issues once painted.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

I haven't made any progress on my truck the 4th door is still bare metal.
I got side tracked on another project and it got out of control fast! I started thinking what i would change if i started my build today and one thing led to another. Its nothing about the look just how I went about it. I ended up with this

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

Then i didn't want to go any further with it until it was solid mounted on a frame so i went and picked up a second long bed frame. Then after a ton of measuring and welding I ended up with this.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

I finished up the frame and installed the cab with new cab mounts and I guess I measured right because it all lined up perfect. So i just set the roof on and pushed it back in the corner so i can get back on the first truck.

Yea the only reason I did it different the first time is I was not going to do a
4th door then that changed and made for alot of extra work. They will look exactly the same only real difference is I used more of the truck cab floor.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

Nice a second one!
You know this could be a side business for you because there is a ton of guys that want a 1967-72 crew cab but don't have the fabrication skills to pull it off.
I can think of two guys right off the top of my head that would buy one from you, one of them is me.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

Very nice and fast work on the 2nd crew cab. I have a burb to use for one but I'm going to build a burb for mow, and then a crew later on down the project circle.

How can you tell if a 700r has had a hydraulic lock up system installed on it?
