Need a bed measurement
I am doing some body work on the bed of my truck. It's a 79 short bed fleetside. I am needing the opening size for the tailgate area. If anyone can post the opening size I would appreciate it.

What measurement are you looking for? from post to post where the tail gate fits in?

My bed sides are off the bed right now but by the existing seam sealer marks on the floor it looks like it's 65 1/4"

On my 77 fleet the post opening is 65 1/4" on top and 65 1/8" on bottom.
Th tail gate opening is 67 1/8" on top and 67 1/4" on the bottom. The gap with the gate closed is 1/4" on the left and 1/8" on the right.
