reproduction hatch?

has anyone had any experience with the reproduction hatches? good or bad?

Depends one who you are getting it from, I heard nothing but bad on most. I haven't heard any negative feedback from the one MotorCityK5 is reproducing.

Is there more than one vendor reproducing? Ive only seen the Motor City ones

I'm not sure if they are still selling them or not, i think it was LMC selling them that had such bad reviews. I'll look and add links if I find them.

I think it was Brothers Trucks that had them. All I ever saw was they were Garbage but this was a few years ago. I would like to know more about Motor city myself if anyone has bought one.

Have a MotorCityK5 on my 71.....works great.....

just bought another one for my 70......they crate them up good too...

I used all their parts for the hatch too.....hinges, rods, handle

This is the first review I’ve seen of the hatch. Any chance you have some pictures of the fit and finish? Did you have to paint it?

YES had to be painted....used old glass and new rubber weather strip....i'll get some close ups on gaps..

I also used MotorcityK5 strut rods for hatch which I highly recommend

some close ups of my new rear hatch from MotorCityK5....everything on the hatch is new except the original glass....hatch, hinges,handle,rods,side latches, strut rods......all from Motor City.........shuts nicely

oh yea....no leaks in heavy rain
