Tailgate swap

I believe it`s a bolt up swap, I have the lift gate and I noticed that there are mounting holes for the swing doors, so it should be the same the other way,

I believe you can switch barn doors into a clam shell model, but not the other way around.....

I believe it is just the opposite as Ludwig mentioned (all due respect to Ludwig), you can switch clam to barn, but not the other way, I have one of each. The tailgate style I am switching to barn doors and will require only a little modification to mount the "strikers" (not sure if that's what they're really called) on the floor area. I know that the hinges bolt right in though (already did that). On my '70 with original barn doors, there are holes to mount the upper sections, but where the lower tailgate hinges go into the body, there are no slots to slide them into. The body just above the bumper would have to be cut, and I have no idea what is behind it at that point.

Hope that wasn't to confusing, wasn't the clearest description!!
