1969 c10 wheel arch moulding?

Today i went out and looked at my trucks wheel arches to find holes drilled along the inner lip of ONLY the front fenders. I have never seen anything screw into that lip other than a 67-68 wheel arch moulding, and i've never seen wheel arches on a 69-72. Did they have wheel arches only. My truck is a bare optioned C10 with no mouldings at all, a 350/350 combo originally and little else. Did any 69-72 trucks have wheel arches, or is this just something a PO had added at one point?

I've also seen holes on the front wheel arches of some 69-72's but never seen Amy with moldings on
