'72 GMC Suburban

I have come across a '72 Burb in what is described as excellent condition. The few pics I have seen seem like it is worth pursuing. What I know is it is a 3 door, white, barn doors, automatic. Not sure about mileage but they think it was around 45k. The upholstery looks great from the pics. Been sitting for years so will need the fuel system sorted. Probably a lot of regular maintenance needs to be performed.

What do I need to consider if I decide to pursue the truck? Not sure if it has AC but that would have to be added if it does not have one.

The number that was mentioned is $5000.00

Comments are appreciated.

Re: '72 GMC Suburban

Going by the interior, that will clean up real nice.
If it was running when stored then the regular maintenance you mentioned is relatively easy to do, kinda fun and would give you a good base line for future work. I know I'd be interested around the price they're talking if it is really as rust free as I'm guessing...more pics would help determine that but it looks good.
If it really only has 45K miles it is barely broke in!

Just my 2 cents...

Rob.

Re: '72 GMC Suburban

It is an a/c suburban. The 3 knobs on the gauge cluster are either wiper/headlight/choke or wiper/headlight/rear ac. The rear ac are harder to find since the only years it was an option was 72

I would check the rear quarter panels and the passenger rocker panels for rust

Need more pictures

Re: '72 GMC Suburban

From the pics it looks like it may be a nice one crawl around on the ground and look it over...

Yep, look it over underneath. Take a piece of cardboard to lay on and a good flashlight with you... Looks like it has a lot of potential.

Re: '72 GMC Suburban

Look at the rockers, floor, body mounts, bottoms of doors and quarters / fenders. Looks like a good one.
