I've got some pics on the shop computer of a Morrison triangulated 4 bar I've installed on a '67. I'll try and remember to post them when I'm at the shop tomorrow.

Now all you have to do is build it. Then take lots of pictures and tell me everywhere you had problems. That way it will make building mine easier.

The problem with building a 4 link is if you dont get your top bars to atleast 35-40* you will have problems with the axle staying in place. That's why a 3 link or Watts link is more common on our trucks. It can be done, but depending on what year truck you have the bed mounts are diffrent and that plays roll into how it's going to be put together. If your going full custom then have way. hey cap what does that set up use? airshocks? or shockwaves?

they look like a coilover without the coil to me

I guess you could use the shock wave, I dont know from the pic but it looks like the frame is close to the shock on there now.

Coooool. This is all new to me so terminology is going to be off, forgive me.

The center tracking bars to keep the axle centered... what angle do they generally have to be at, or oes it even matter?

Do you basically have to determine how much travel you need and dimension from there to determine your dimensions to keep the axle from wandering?

The frame is notched around the shock. This frame is a work of art and the good captain is welding artist! I have been to his shop many times and his fab work is top notch!

heatwagon, the center arms that keeps the axle from moving has to be more the 35* inorder for the axle not to move. Most shops will keep it around 40*. It's harder on our frames with a bagged set up to run a 4 link. It can be done. Just look around in the suspension area.

well said. it's alittle harder to get a 4 full link triangulated set. another option is a wishbone like mine.

i do have a build thread going on another site but it is quite boring. just the general stuff. i dropped my truck off to get bagged at a local builder and it worked out great. here's the link of the pictures he posted (i dunno if the mods will delete it)what exactly did you wanna know?
