Really?

I was under the impression you had to buy different spindles for "any" dual piston calipers to work.

Also ,just to make sure were on the same page: I have 2.5" drop spindles with stock calipers and stock rotors right now. The D52's will directly bolt onto these spindles and work with stock rotors, correct?

What does "modular" mean anyway?

Correct.
They make a set of calipers for 1" and 1.25" standard 12" rotors.
They are a direct replacement for your stock caliper,... except these are aluminum and look alot better.
The only thing I don't know for sure is if I need Wilwood pads. I have pads on mine that came with my SSBC rotors. I'll call Wilwood this week.

They also make a single piston caliper to use on rear disc conversions.

Look here:

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

Modular?
I guess that means with the swap of a bracket,... you can bolt on a 13" rotor and bigger caliper.
I needed something to work with my 1" wide 12" rotors and Boss 338 wheels.
Here's the Jegs link:

Yes as stated above the Wilwood Calipers will work with the old style spindles, I will give you a set of calipers and braided hoses for $300.00 to all site members. Great question!

I understand the black powder-coated Wilwoods are back-ordered while the reds are available. Do you have both options in stock for shipping?

I'll see if I can swing the money on Friday. I'm assuming the number in your avatar is where you can be "easily" reached?

Hence the reason they probably did not offer those to us when we made the purchase. Thanks for the headsup.

Ok i just got off the phone with Dustin at Wilwood and they WILL NOT be making black in the "52" caliper. Hope this helps clear up the myth.

Too bad about them not making them in black I'd rather have it than red. Guess I'll have to paint them black since I know a decent painter that can do it for free.

We have 13" rotors in every bolt pattern. We currently stock forged hubs for these spindles in 6-lug, 5 on 5", and 5 on 4-3/4".

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

CPPJEFF

I tried to get through today but was unsuccesful I'll try again tomorrow. I was also curious if you guys offer a direct OEM replacement 12" rotor (drilled and or slotted)? If so, and the price is right I might pick up a set of those as well.

Sorry if I missed the answer somewhere.

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

Order placed, THANKS JEFF.

I'll post pics after the install, I ordered some drilled and slotted rotors also. If everything goes well I'll get the rear disk brake kit too.
