Gas tank fillers

I was wondering why my 70 burb is the only one I have ever seen with dual gas tanks Does anyone know why? And thanks to all that responded to my rear a/c questions and your pics. Also, how is everyone posting there vehicles that they own or are for sale at the end of their thread replys?

Two gas tanks

Is it listed on the glove box door that your truck has two tanks?
If so show pics of option sheet. Also show the way the tanks are mounted on the truck.
Please & thank you

Click on "User CP" button at top of page. Then click on "Edit Profile". Scroll down to "Signature" and type away! When you are done, hit "Submit" and whoalla!

As far as the 2 tanks, that would be interesting to see some pics. Like burb71 said, if you can take a pic of the option sheet if it is listed on there, that would be awesome too!

I'll try to figure out how to get some pics of the fillers & tanks, the option sheet is very distorted. I'll try to borrow someones digital camera.

Dual fuel tanks

My 1971 Chevy Suburban had an auxillary Tank but it was dealer installed. To install the tank they notch cut one of the body supports. Which was a very bad thing the support broke.
So I just want to see how the factory did it.
