I'm taking the windshield and dash out of the cab and cutting part of the roof above the windshield to repair my cab. The donor cab has a big dent in the roof from tree or something along with the usual floor rot. So, I'm not really destroying a buildable cab.

Re: What did you do for the 4th????

I went and checked out a '63 for a possible DD truck. Price was a little high and made me think about how I would ever finish what I have going now.

Re: What did you do for the 4th????

I picked up this '64 GMC C10 lwb fleetside, including a 4-5-6 Chevy truck factory anodized aluminum grille. It is close to being a runner/driver and came with a clear, in-state title.

I did my favorite thing on Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th...worked on 4-5-6 Chevy trucks. Did I mention how much fun they are? I removed the trash, installed the factory bench seat, replaced the driver side window regulator, installed a driver side door panel, installed a driver side window crank and inside door handle, installed the factory painted GMC grille and installed some banged-up Chevy painted factory dog dish hub caps. After a good spray with the hose, she was ready for the prom.

I plan to install the starter, a single barrel carb, a new battery and dial-in a few things under the hood...and she should be a runner.

Re: What did you do for the 4th????

Cool truck Tony!!!

The whole Famn Damily and I, including the mutts, went to Branson for a long weekend. We left thursday morning and didn't get home til @6pm last night. Didn't care much about fire-works, too much other stuff to do. We saw lots of stuff, ate too much, spent too much money, and had a great time
the third was the wife's and my 13th anniversary....so it was a anniversary/family vacation
I got some pics of a '62 short fleet for sale there. It was kinda cool, shaved tailgate, caddy bullet lights, 350/350 combo, and lowered.
They had $8500 on it still had discs all around too

I will post pics this evening.

Nice job..

Did this today and got a few usable parts.

How hot of a coil do you have to run with the master cylinder?
