Shift collar removal

Hey guys, so I'm working on disassembling the van tilt I recently picked up to freshen it up and repaint it. I've ran into a problem with removing the shifter collar in the picture below. Im assuming I need to remove the bearing/tilt assembly first so Ive removed the bearing nut and tilt spring but I cannot get the assembly to budge. What step(s) am I missing to get the shift collar removed??

Re: Shift collar removal

There are pins in the side that have to be removed. Use the Google search box at the top of the page. There are several write ups to disassemble the Tilt column.

Re: Shift collar removal

The pin is right at the end of your circle. There's another one opposite of it. You can buy a tool to pull them out or rig up something with screws that fit the threads
