1979 K30 rebuild

I finally tore down my old K30 to make it new again. I bought the truck 8 ish years ago and drove it steadily for probably three years and then it got demoted to fire wood duties a couple times per year and it got neglected when I bought a newer pickup. Its a trailering special model, 350/ th400/ np203. The plan going back together is a 383 with th400 and a np205. I bought a 205, unfortunately its a 10 spline one, so I got an adapter housing and 32 spline input shaft from offroad design. Also bought the correct output shaft for the transmission. So far I've stripped it down to the frame and sandblasted it and repainted. Stripped both axle housings down and sandblasted and painted them, rebuilt both axles with new bearings. Reused the 4.10 gears since they were in great condition. I've got the suspension and axle housings back on the truck with all new bushings. This week I'll start on the transmission and transfer case. This will be a long project no doubt with work and a 2 year old that take up most of the free time. haha. I'll try and get better at taking pictures when I do actually get some work done.

I don't think it matters what market in north idaho you're talking about, people think everything is gold here. People selling used dirtbikes for more than I bought my new one for off the showroom floor in 2019. Glad I'm not trying to buy a house right now.

Seems like it.... but they are just idiots, and wont sell their muddy rusted dirty junk.

They dont even bother cleaning their junk before they take a picture of it to try and sell

Ive seen ads on faceboob market place for old cracked bald tires about the same price as the new tire shop

I just bought a house last fall, made a offer, got a good deal. But Ive been looking for several years at all the rip-off pricing. S/W Idaho prices are a joke. Of course I sold my other house and did good $$$.
I used to live in Sand Point area many years ago. I didnt even bother looking there

Well... Have fun restoring your truck. Looks good so far
