Restoring Soft tops

My Softopper is around 8 years old, and although my truck spends most of it's life in a garage away from the sun, the black vinyl was starting to show it's age.

I purchased this product and just applied it this morning. Wow is all I can say!
My top looks like new again, and hopefully it will stay.
This product is actually a dye, is water based and does not contain silicone.

How long it will last? Your guess is as good as mine, but I'm very impressed with the results. I'll post back here in a few weeks to see how it held up.

Just posting this in hope to help others with a faded top.

It only works on vinyl. I needed black, so I'm not sure if it's available in white. I don't think it does.

That looks really good. Your windows look really clear for 8 years old, too.

Well, they don't look too good up close!
They haven't yellowed, but anywhere something touches them (roll bar and straps) the windows have chaffed.

I'm located in Canada, so we don't get the strong sun some of you southern folks get. The truck is also garaged when not in use which I'm sure helped.
I wish I had taken before pictures, because the difference is quite dramatic.

Re: Restoring Soft tops

Years ago I had new vinyl windows stitched into a soft top by an upholsterer. Turned out nice.
