95 OBS I'm still in the hunt

So I'm looking at a 95 OBS tomorrow with a 4.3/5 speed combo. That combo will go at some time. Either a large cube SBC or LS swap to replace it.
In regards to the SBC will the 4.3 front accessories including AC bolt to the front of a SBC?
In either case SBC or LS what needs to be done with the stock 95 engine compartment wires wise? I'm big on deleting any excess wires to clean up the engine compartment. Get rid of the TBI computer?
Any good threads on this?

The accessories mounts will work on SBC. But nott on LS that I am aware of. The lower crank pulley is different than the 350 version due to the different thickness if the harmonic balancer. I cannot remember if the water pump pulley is same or not.

Thanks or the help. Viewing delayed to next week. I'm hoping it's as nice as said.
Yeah all the LS stuff FEA would not carry over.
Still leaning towards a big cube SBC.

If you I understand you correctly, You are looking for a replacement motor? I have a never used 383 stroker long block with all the good stuff if your interested. I will be posting it on this forum as soon as I get premium status. ( I just sent the request for premium this am)

Also have a very nice Dana 60 with all the goodies that was built for a 93C10 and never mounted

My 99 OBS has a lot more power than my 93, both with the 5.7.

Re: 95 OBS I'm still in the hunt

Thanks for the offer on the 383. But one of my car buddies owns a engine machine shop and we were bench racing about building a 396 SBC kind of like what Blue Print has.
I'm really leaning towards a 6.0 iron block stroked to 408. L92/LS3 heads. Forged rods and pistons.
Rear end wise I would keep the 8.5" with welded axle tubes, Tru Trac and 30 spline axles.

The 99 is a Vortec headed, Spider injected, good runing iron head SBC. The 93 is a crappy headed TBI engine. The Vortec engines have 40+ more horsepower and more torque.

OP, as far as what to do with the engine compartment and factory ECU, what will the use of the truck be, what kind fuel delivery will either engine have? I love my 427 SBC...

Yea, that's why I said that. So he could search for a newer one if he wanted to.

Ahh ok.

Reminded me of the days just out of high school, I had a 93 blazer and my buddy had a 99 Tahoe, everywhere we'd go cruise he'd light me up and blow my doors off.
