Upper control arm bolt.

I found that my upper control arm nut has completely unthreaded and come off. I don’t know if it’s possible for the rod to completely come out but I think God that it didn’t fall apart on the freeway. Does anyone know where I can get this nut and and what it should be torqued to? Also should I put some locktight on it or something to keep this from happening again?

LMC Truck has it.

Not sure about local parts places sell the nut, but Dorman makes a control arm replacement bolt kit.

Re: Upper control arm bolt.

That must be 4wd, as my 2wd doesn't look like that. I got mine from the junkyard because an offset washer was missing. My S10 has that style control arms and AutoZone shows a shaft kit with the nuts. I don't see why they wouldn't have the same kit for yours.

That’s not a GMT400. The shock is mounted to the rear and the steering box is on the outside of the frame. Ask a mod to move this to the right section.

Re: Upper control arm bolt.

Sorry I posted this in the wrong section. This is for a 77 c10. Thanks for all the help. I just posted it in the correct section.
