Anyone have tractors? Big or small. Let’s see some tractors and tractor related projects.

Re: Tractor thread?

My dad's 60s John Deere 400 Industrial tractor. He bought it in the early 2000s to use on our family property in Toccoa, GA. Unfortunately, other things in life happened and we didn't do much up at that property for several years. Both the engine and clutch are stuck at the moment. Big sad.

It was originally yellow but has had a couple repaints since then.

I'm hoping that we will be able to get the engine unstuck and put the old tractor back to use. I'll try to get some better pictures next time we're up there.

Re: Tractor thread?

I have a 1952 8n that I have had for almost 30 years.
I also have a 1954 Jubilee (NAA).
And a 1941 9N, is a recent addition to the collection,
I am working on it now.

Re: Tractor thread?

My 1939 'B', it was my 4-H project when I was in 6th grade and I've had it ever since (25 years). I spotted it sitting in the weeds while riding the bus to school and talked my parents into letting me restore it. I still use it to grade the driveway and pull a log out of the woods when I need to. Fun to think its 83 years old this October.

K
Those Farmall tractors are cool
Daddy bought a Little side Cub.

The one that the frame cracked under the radiator.

It was a fun tractor to work on.

The Clutch disk was as big as a tea cup

My parents signed me up as a member of the Two-Cylinder Club when I was seven years old and I've been a member ever since. We also had an old 'H' when I was really little, so thats where I caught the two-cylinder bug.

Re: Tractor thread?

1963 Massey 65 Diesel my Grandad bought new. Dad would hook up the sickle mower when I was a kid and send me out to mow pastures and road ditches with it as we lived right across a gravel road from my grandparents. I found it a year ago at a cousins house where it had been sitting under an overhang for over 20 years. Brought it home cleaned it up changed all the fluids and it fired right up. Use it today to maintain the driveway and spray the fence line.

Re: Tractor thread?

I guess mine counts as a 1/16 scale model. It pulls the occasional broken truck to the shop or a 4x8 trailer to haul stuff around the property. Wouldn't mind having a big one, just don't need it where I am at.

Re: Tractor thread?

Or how about some pulling tractors?

These were both built in the ag engineering dept where I got my bachelors. Mustang Fever was already built when I got there. V12 feom a P-51 mustang. White Lightning was built in the school shop by a classmate. Pretty sure it was a helicopter jet engine (C-46??).
