WTB - 5.7 Vortec Air Cleaner Latch(es)
Looking to buy a single or will buy a pair of the thin sheet metal latches that attach to the lower section of the air cleaner compartment for a 96-99 OBS 5.7 Vortec stock style air cleaner. Missing one latch but will buy a pair. Not sure they can be purchased from Dorman or similar after market vendor?

Patrick, not the best pics but hope will give you an idea of what I need. Pulled this one from my Tahoe, takes two clips, identical. Just over 2 1/2' when unfolded in relaxed position. About 3/4'' or 7/8'' in width. Used on the '96 thru '99 Vortec 5.7s, possibly into '00 or '01, not sure on that. Will gladly buy one or a pair if you can find them during your Thursday visit. Easy too remove from the cover housing. Two pins hold it into position by a slot on each side of the air cleaner housing.
Would be great if you can find one or two clips along with the needed cruise control cable for my son's '96 Z71. Good luck in your search and thanks for the reply.
