Re: Speedo leak

Try pulling the Driven Gear Speedometer Sleeve. There should be an O-ring on the bottom between it and the transfer case. I am in the middle of tracking one down right now for mine. Goes where the arrow points.

Re: Speedo leak

Motor City K5 has what you guys need - It's the inner seal. Easy to press out the old one and press in the new.

See if the photos here suffice, worked well enough for me: https://www.motorcityk5.com/i-13102-...=category:9415

I think that this is the most appropriate solution in my opinion instead of the complete jaw, but what is the O-ring measurement?

I bought it but I'm afraid I didn't find the right screwdriver to open it because the space is too tight for the key .

Re: Speedo leak

Mine went in fine and immediately fixed the leak.

Just remembered this: Torqueking.com sells a new speedometer drive adapter nut that has a new sleeve installed. They are a good source for NP205 parts.

Re: Speedo leak

4 screws and it opens. You can clean and replace the grease inside. The gaskets is most likely trash. I resealed mine using a very thing line of silicone.

I'd try this first and if unsuccessful or you need a different ratio to make the speedometer read correctly contact these folks: https://speedometercablesusa.com/gear_box_adapters.html

They assembled the one in use on my Blazer and with US parts. I'm extremely pleased with their work. Heck, get a new speedometer cable too
