2000 K3500 seat repair parts needed

I have bucket seats in my dually and the release cable for the passenger side seat is froze up. I have been searching online but I guess I am not entering the right keywords. Anyone know of a supplier for this type of stuff? I have attached a picture of the cable. It is the one on the drivers side of the passenger seat if that makes sense. I am putting new seat covers on and would like to get this fixed while I have it out.

Thanks
Richard

I would try looking at GM Genuine parts online, like gmpartsoutlet.com
You put in all your specs, then it will give you diagrams for every part. In your case for the seats. At best, you’ll get a part number. But a lot of times these GM places still have parts to sell.
I did a quick search, but there’s too many trim levels, Crewcabs & Extended cabs and such. The K3500 is too basic of a search. But once you put in the info for your exact trim level, search under Body Parts and then seats.

Thanks I will take a look there. One other question you might know the answer to is how does the arm rest come off? does it just pry off with a friction fit? I dont see any type of fastening hardware under the cover when I lift it up to the point of the arm rest stopping it from coming all the way off. I don't want to break it and have only been able to find video of the bottom cover replacement which was easy enough to figure out without the video.

Thanks
Richard

Forget the arm rest question I finally was able to see the clip that looks like a widow crank retainer . Once I pulled that it came right off. A bugger to do by yourself though. lol

Looks like you might have to use some kind of universal cable.

I did not figure I would have much luck sourcing a replacement cable since they are 23 years old, but figured I would ask while I had it apart.

Finally got the seat back in the truck after installing the new covers and thought I had it fixed but nope! I am going to attach a steel handle the the lever under the seat so I can just grab that to make the seat slide fully forward and bypass the cable all together. I am happy with the outcome of the seat covers but messing with the damn cable makes it so I can't do the drivers side until Thursday. We are an hour or so away from a big rain storm (supposedly) and I needed all the heat from the sun I could get to get the new cover over the foam. It is clouding up pretty bad now so I guess the rain is almost here.
