We have what we need to do it right under our feet. Get rid of the current federal BS and we would be well on our way.

I paid 148 to fill up my ‘18 Sierra 2500 company truck Friday. Glad I don’t have to pay for that out of my own pocket.
The Wife’s Denali is the only thing getting filled up regularly that we own. It’s close to a $100 right now. The Camaro would probably be that too given the price of premium but I haven’t driven since Oct.

I hope yours gets better mileage than our Abarth did. It was a fun car. Only for such a little car it got terrible mileage. But it was fast as all get out.

Re: Gas Prices?

I get $50 at a time, so gas still costs the same for me as it did before the spike.

But I don't get as far from the pump as I used to. The other day I notice $10 showing on a pump. How far did that get someone? I think that would fill my 2.125 gallon can

Re: Gas Prices?

$4.25 this mornings price hike from $3.99 yesterday.
Yeah those little cars are great on fuel if you drive like an eggs under the peddle, I watch people stomp on them to get going and there goes the savings in mileage. Think Granny driving!!!

The talking heads on the radio this morning were speculating that it would hit $6 here by summer.

Re: Gas Prices?

$4.40 per gallon yesterday in Aberdeen WA yesterday.
Saw a sign at a Mobil station for $5.00 per gallon diesel at the same city.
Why do the diesel prices fluctuate higher and lower than reg gas?

AAA price comparisons between 01/21 and 03/22. What a difference a year makes. I just paid $4.70/gallon for 91 octane ethanol free.

Re: Gas Prices?

$4.20 gallon this morning going to work, I didn't want to look this afternoon coming home .i drive about 45 minutes each way to work, half of the trip is rural, and half is in bumper to bumper traffic, a couple of years ago I picked up a 94 Honda civic for cheap, and fixed the distributor, and changed the timing belt, its my commuter beater, and it gets 36 mpg.

Yikes. I don’t want to think about what the inflation will do if this keeps up.

Re: Gas Prices?

Regular had a $0.30 jump to $ 3.89 today.

I still go to the shop every day (2.5 red lights away) but, office mostly from the house. I've had my 6.2 Denali for 18 months and just barely have 12,400 miles on her. So, it's not like I drive her much. Which is good with that 15.3 MPG average.

The big savings for us is The Queen only goes to her office once a week these days. Pre-Covid, she was driving 14,000 miles / year with damned near $ 400.00 / month in tolls. Her Genesis GV70 is averaging 19.3 MPG. But, those thirsty twin turbos were made for speed.

Both vehicles are ''Premium Recommended'' cars. I may break from guidance at around $ 6.00 / Gal. And fall back to Regular.

Yep...rising fuel costs will touch everything. We are already seeing fuel surcharges on materials delivered to the shop. That is on top of escalating metals pricing. Which, of course, wasn't on my cost radar when I quoted projects.
