I need to try that one. My youngest daughter always texts me. I've told her to just call. I don't like to text. I'm all thumbs on the phone. I might as well have been talking to a wall because she still does it.

Be thankful you got this idiot's response on your computer and not in person after wasting your time setting up an appointment with the person to see the truck, waiting around when they show up late, have them kick the tires, nit pick everything, be rude, then low ball you, then insult you.

Many years ago, my mom got a new car and was offered virtually nothing for her old 69 Chevy Impala as a trade-in, so I took it to my house and listed it in the newspaper classified ads. I will never forget the guy who came to look at it with his wife. After a test drive she really liked it, but he was critical of everything. I mean everything! His last comment was, "There's some lifter noise that could mean the camshaft is bad and that could cost hundreds. (Totally wrong BTW.)

Anyway, when he was standing there looking in the engine compartment, I walked over, said "excuse me"' then closed the hood and walked back to the house. When I looked out the window his wife was really pissed at him. In retrospect it was silly on my part, but it felt good at the time. I eventually sold the car for $100s more than the dealer had offered, so all ended well.

The "Big Tech" corporations are global, and a lot of the "censoring" is done outside the US. DuckDuckGo (because google will suppress results) "who are the facebook sensors", and there is plenty of information about the subject.

I am always very careful with my wording and had a couple of posts deleted using Disqus in a comments section. I included several of the trigger words and just like that they were gone.

I googled "alternative search engines" and surprisingly got this:

Re: How are people so easily upset?

Whiners have felt empowered with this new cancel culture thing, so more and more people just don't feel the need to hold anything back anymore. To them, whining about someone else is even more rude.

Re: How are people so easily upset?

I agree with the others. Whatever unreasonable amount they offered, they probably didn't have anyway.
I like to go look at things close, ask a few questions, keep my opinion to myself, and pull out a wad of cash and make a low offer. If they take it, ok. If not, I politely negotiate. The low first offer usually doesn't make them too mad. I don't like listing imperfections, it usually pisses them off.

I am upset that you might be upset about someone else being upset. It's upsetting. Dangit! I just got upset over nothing! Now I am upset!
