What do you guys that can lay frame do if one of your bags fails? Do you have some way to raise it up so you can limp home?

Come to a grinding stop!?

We haven't had one fail on us... yet. Of course, the safest way is to design your system to where the frame doesn't lay on the ground when fully deflated... but what fun is that!

We do offer a Watts link kit the GM 10 bolt rearends which is going to be the best way to locate the axle on an air bag system. I'm not to familiar with a panard bar or is that maybe that's a new product offered by Porterbuilt?
Are you new here ?

So, Dino. What kind of air management are we working with on the 78? Thanks for the help as always.

Re: Street Rod Sugar Daddy (Dino63's 78 C-10)

Me and nate talk about it, I think were going with 1/4" lines and big red ( always)valves and a air zenith pump, 3 gallon tank, I hope the air zenith works out .I used one on my wagon and it failed,Because i already have the fast bags stuff on the panel and the 66, though we switch it up a bit. On your thread i said the oasis was the sh-t i mean it, thats the killer set up if you like hitting the switches

If you want me to be critical of systems I will be glad to do so. I can go into details outlining the difference between the two systems if that's what you would like. Apples to Apples, laying out to not laying out.

when it "bolts" in, the bed looks like this...

and the inner fener w/ a/c looks like this...

but hey, its apples to apples...

Re: Street Rod Sugar Daddy (Dino63's 78 C-10)

it is all simply a matter of compromise... if you want to lay on the ground, you have to compromise bed floors, inner fenders, etc... if you want a simple bolt-in kit then it can't go as low.

That was my point. I ain't doggin no one, just saying there is a reason the ART isn't on the ground. It's the same reason my 77 Cheyenne ain't on the ground. Sometimes you just don't want to hack holes in your bed, and there is a market for that.

Don't get me wrong, it's not liked I'm scared to cut one up....

OK... now you have to tell us a little more about the pic.

And yes, there is a difference between ART's kits and the Porterbuilt/KP combo... it's somewhere around 3 to 4 inches! If you do not want to cut the bedfloor and mod the inner fenders ART's the place, and the product you're looking for. If you're looking to lay frame or achieve a low ride height Porterbuilt and KP are the solution. ART makes excellent products and is targeting a slightly different market. I have been using their stuff for a while now, with great results. Apples to Oranges?

I think it also depends on what size wheel and tire. when i put my 13" daytons wires on , it lays the frame with out body mods and a/c removal,
