holy sh!t it does lay out hard i went down and checked this out and you can actualy lift the tire off the ground while aired out.....its layin on the frame!
i wanna see the pics of my 20's on it though, holy bad asss batman!! get it done(guess i should tell myself this huh?)
it looks as though the turner arms give you a little bit of drop also, a possibility of at least 2inches ? so fastbagged68 you might wanna check into some arms you could lay 22's on the frame with ease!with your mods to the spring pocket.....
but you'd lose a whole lotta fender!!!!

So how do you think it looks with those 20's?......Still layin frame. Think I could be layin frame with 22's with a little work on the upper spring pockets and ditch the upper cups......hmmmm?.....Thanks Mr. baggedblaz for the use of one of your wheels to put all this into perspective.

grnddwn as for the hinges, i dont know for sure what i'm gonna do....still thinking of something.
Phantom, It is notched with the turner 7", but i need to go about 3 more inches....deciding if i want to back half and 4 link, or try to make the notch bigger. I have pics, but nothing special, just a step notch.
lowerdd, whenever your in town I'll show you around...just let me know when!!!

That looks BAD! Ya I think with 22's I could still lay but I dont feel like cutting my firewall up. So I am going with 20's. I think eitehr245-35-20 and 275-35-20 or something with a 40 series.

I wanna come up and see that one. Maybe get some ideas off of ya? I am in the middle of modifying my x-member. Im "lowering" the upper spring pocket. Not sure how much more I want to modify it though. Ian seems like a cool cat, I have met him once. Very nice guy.

come by whenever john. but i warn ya....it deffinately takes a better pic than it looks in person....

fastbagged....cut firewall? I dot think it would be that close...I'll have to get some measurements and see if it'll be that close...or at least look at it!!! 22's would be *****in, if i can make them work, i just might. If you have time, send me a few pics or the link to what you did to your upper spring mounts...Need to see if you did what i'm thinkin of.

Are you gonna get enough lift to turn with that tall a tire. I don't think the fire wall will be a problem unless you decide to bodydrop it. But it doesn't look like you ned to.

this is about the lift i'm getting...mabye a little more with more pressure...this about 90 ish lbs. if 22's kinda fit, i'll make them work out. Also....not thinkin of a body drop, rather buildin a frame from firewall back and tuckin it up under the body so the rockers will be draggin'.

Cool. I have been thinking of taking a day off of work one of these days. Plus, I have never been to Ogden. Can you pm me with your address and/or phone #. As far as how it looks in person, dont worry about that, Im sure it looks 100 times better than what I have going on right now. I just dropped off my x-member to get sand blasted, and my plasma cutter took a crap on me today. Looks like I will have to break out the old torch untill I can get it fixed. Thanks!

It depends on what you go with. They make a 265/30/22 that is 28.3" tall, but they don't make a taller tire to match for the rear.

Well they do, but it's a 295/25/22. I don't think I want a 25 series tire on the back of my truck....

Sh!t maybe I will run 22's and just run a 265-30-22 on all 4 corners. Man that would be BAD! If you go to www.ifcustom.com and look at there suburban they did in there archive file you will see they had to notch the firewall. Thats why I was thinking you would need to cut the firewall- maybe I will run 20 and 22's . Somebody go out a buy a set of 22 and check to see if they fit!

No ride height pics yet, I dont really even know what it will be. I need to get the rack installed and see where things are looking. right now i'm having an issue with the upper control arms. I think they are too long. I have no shims in them and when it sits about 2 or so inches from the ground the camber is looking pretty good. If i go up higher i cant suck the wheels in enough to align. You cant turn in the ends on the arms either because the distance between them gets smaller and wont fit onto the adapter bracket. I talked to a guy at turners and bill is supposed to be getting back to me on this. Is anyone else seeing the same problem?

Wdz28ss what is the offset on those wheels. Looking to get mine here with in a month? What size tire you have for the rear?

Have you thought how you are doing your sway bar?

I have no idea what the backspacing on those 20's are. I "think" they are a 20x8 with 4" backspace. If you wanna know more on them pm baggedblaz as they are his and he knows. Havent even thought of the sway bar yet.....still thinking of those 22's.
