68-72 NOS Passenger Door Skin

Has some surface rust, as seen in the photos. Should clean up just fine. Has a tiny little crack on the front edge.

$300 plus shipping

The box is 45x36x8, and weighs 30 lbs. UPS wants $285. Greyhound would be $81. I would drop it off at a terminal in Sacramento, and you'd need to pick one of the following terminals on your end to pick it up at:

205 S LAMAR ST - DALLAS, TX 75202
2819 FM 1903 Interstate 30 - CADDO MILLS, TX 75135
1001 JONES ST - FT WORTH, TX 76102

These two sold for $350 four and six years ago.

They don't come up for sale too often. Mine isn't perfect like those, but there will be no difference once it is sanded and welded on.

How about $250 + PayPal fees + freight?

Greyhound would be $90.49, and you'd have to pick it up from one of the following locations:

100 W 4TH AVE - GARY, IN 46402
100 W SOUTH ST - SOUTH BEND, IN 46601
2412 S MICHIGAN HWY 139 - BENTON HARBOR, MI 49022
630 W HARRISON ST - CHICAGO, IL 60607

Re: 68-72 NOS Passenger Door Skin

It's packed up and ready to go. All four edges are protected by thick high density foam, and the rest of the box is filled with packing paper to keep the door skin in position. It is held snugly inside the box and doesn't rattle around.

Re: 68-72 NOS Passenger Door Skin

I'm getting nervous about the lack of tracking updates from Greyhound. The tracking history hasn't changed since the day I shipped it.

I guess we'll hope for the best at this point. I'm not real familiar with Greyhound logistics. Thank you for the update though.

Re: 68-72 NOS Passenger Door Skin

I have experienced this same issue with GH shipping. The personal baggages take presidents over shipping packages. So if there isn't enough room In the cargo hold the packages , especially large packages, will be set aside until a bus with enough room comes along.

I’ve been waiting 3 months and tracking still only shows loaded. Also when you file a claim they have another 60 days and only pay a portion of the insured amount.

Re: 68-72 NOS Passenger Door Skin

I called Greyhound, and the agent said many of the smaller bus terminals don't have the resources to scan packages as they come through.

Re: 68-72 NOS Passenger Door Skin

Greyhound tracking sucks, I've never had any bad luck yet but almost, they lost a set of seats for about 2 months. Well they showed unload at a terminal and never reloaded, apparently there storage facility was a different building so they set there until I called them about it. A few days later they showed up at the correct terminal.

Re: 68-72 NOS Passenger Door Skin

I went to the Sacramento Greyhound terminal on Saturday to see if I could find out anything about the shipment. The only thing the guy was able to tell me is that it should have gone through the following cities:

Portland, OR
Stanfield, OR
Spokane, WA
Billings, MT
Minneapolis, MN
Chicago, IL
Gary, IN

I will call Greyhound tomorrow and ask them to do a trace on the shipment, which I believe consists of calling each of these stations.

Thanks for checking on this. I would be surprised if it had made it to Gary already.
Lmk what you discover.

Re: 68-72 NOS Passenger Door Skin

I called Greyhound just now. The agent called the Gary, IN station and the shipment wasn't there. She called the Chicago station, but they didn't answer. She said I should allow up to one month for the shipment to arrive, as shipments are sent based on available space. If it doesn't arrive within one month, then I can file a claim for a lost shipment.
