Father/Son Project Slant hood 67

My dad and I picked up a 67 back in late 2010. We decided it was to be a winter project as we are usually preoccupied during spring, summer and fall kayak fishing and camping. The first winter we had it we replaced the floor pan in the cab we were planning to use with another floor pan in the other can we get with the purchase of our truck. We replaced cab corners and rockers and gutted the wiring. Since we haven't done jack squat to it lol. It sucks to see it just sitting but life gets in the way. Here is a few photos of the work we did. Not much but it was a pretty good job for 2 first timers...

Yea, I think we are going to get the frame cleaned up and protected here soon and come April when the Auto fair comes through Lowe's Motor Speedway get a wiring harness and that's where my skills come in. I'm meticulous with wiring. Done right the first time and you very rarely have to fool with it again...
Any ideas on how to convince my pops to rat this truck or maybe put a service/gas station patina to this truck? I'm more new school, slammed and sick and he's a old school classic with a mean appeal. I think we could both achieve happiness with a theme...

Nothin better than a father/son hot rod project. My dad and I built 30 5 window ford when I was in high school. Memories for a life time. Enjoy the build!

Yea, my dad and I redone my first Chevy from the time I was 15 til I got my license. 79 Scottsdale. I loved that truck. I've had the 79, a 70 stepside, a 78 4x4 lwb and now the 67. Always liked the Slant hoods the most but I love a good square body slammed or sky high.

Awesome slant, not that I'm biased towards them or anything..... agreein with Kennuck, get to work this winter, I'm itchin to bring mine home and get the chassis done and I could care less what the outside looks like

I'm not exactly sure where it was built and no build sheet. Not exactly what that is to be honest...

A build sheet is a paper usually found stuffed under the seat showing options put in truck, colors used, engine & trans type, etc
It also shows where your truck was built and what day and where it was originally delivered to.
Its a neat find

Hmmm. Never seen that any where but I'll have a look at the seat. Might be attached to it some where...would be an awesome find!

Got a question for you guys. I want to lower the truck as much as possible without having to do anything drastic to the truck. What's my maximum there? Any suggestions on kits and/or companies?
