Ideas for center seat between racing seats

I just started on my 68 and already I know the mystery bench seat isn't gonna cut it I'm gonna order a good set of racing buckets prolly suspension type with good bolsters and places for harness but the real problem comes to what about my daughter where is she gonna ride I thought about one of those center console seats out of an 05+ silverado But I just feel like it will be to wide if anybody has done something similar I would love to see any pics you might have and if anyone has recommendations on comfortable racing seats I'm all ears my other trucks have had kirkeys and I do love those I just want more comfort cause I wanna do autocross and drags with this truck plus drive it a lot!

Re: Ideas for center seat between racing seats

I was in this situation a few years ago. I had a couple of the cheap Jaz racing seats in my '66. My kids were getting older and wanting to ride along with me to cruises and such. I couldn't take them both at the same time, so I started looking into trying to fit some sort of small seat between the existing seats. I also have a rollcage to work around, so moving the seats much was out of the question. I ended up using a bench seat out of a '90 Chevy truck, as it was narrower than the factory bench and would still allow me to carry two passengers, not to mention fitting in between the cage. It's pretty comfortable, too.
Just my .02 worth.
