Not a thing truck related, but found out how hard it is to change a starter on my stepson's Honda Passport.

Got stuck with a ton of Honey-do's this weekend. Managed to get in an hour and a half working on the passenger rocker.

Re: What did you get done 12/2/10 edition

On the 2nd I decided to put the 350 in my truck, and I mocked some parts together. You can see the pictures in my work log. It is in the 4x4 projects forum under "1981/86 K10 Short-Bread." I would post the pictures, but they are a little big. I know how dial up feels...

Re: What did you get done 12/5/10 edition

Friday took an 81 c-10 Silverado diesel to the junkyard and picked up my buddies $200 8-ft (Rust free)bed up for him, Saturday went and looked at a free 79 c-10(Extremly Rusty) that is going to donate its drivetrain for my 85.

sadly no its fixed and doesnt dump... I may be working a deal for a dump bed from stitch. I havnt made my mind up.. I am going to fix all the things wrong with it, through some better interior in it that I have and cheap single stage paint. I am fixing up a house built in the late 1800s and I could really use a truck with a larger bed so I dont always have to be hooked to a trailer... Price was right....

Cool truck! I want a truck like that for work but the boss wont let me buy any more "old trucks"

I fiberglassed some kick panels and 6*9 mounts for my dually, still didnt get the sub box or door bottoms done but I should get time this week. Got the garage half way cleaned out so I can get back to work on my Blazer too!

Picked up a TH350 trans for my '50 project. Worked a couple hours today on the driver side floor/rocker on the '50.

Re: What did you get done 12/5/10 edition

Took my dads car into the shop, changed 2 tires, replaced the d/s outer tie rod, changed the oil, topped off all fluids. Then got the ground strap on the truck installed, got my LED taillights installed, got my wiring harness in from a fellow member here, sent back my incorrect aluminum radiator for the correct one.Got all my parts back from powdercoating for my 70 cougar.Put the front part of the motor on, got my electric fan installed with the temp sensor, put a kick panel on my garage door, so its was a overall great productive weekend.

thanks
pat

Re: What did you get done 12/5/10 edition

We went on a toy run sat morning It was just a wee bit chilly about 40*. We had a little over 1500 bikes probably closer to 2000. Kinda nice to help in some small way during the holidays.
Sunday went to yanking a engine out of yet another newer truck this one a 96. This engine is just getting freshend up a tad on the bottem end new bearings rings ect since it has no real signs of wear. Heads are going to be rebuilt or I may just pop a set from a L30 on it that sit collecting dust bump the compression up a tad.

Re: What did you get done 12/5/10 edition

Disassembled an old boat trailer, going to use the straight pieces to build motor skids (got too many engines and not enough stands). Went to the lighted parade, one of the floats had running derby car, on had running lawn mower pullers, several lighted tractors, etc. Rustic America Rocks!

Pulled my trailer up tot he garage so I can replace the broken spring when the new U bolts get here.

Replaced the accelerator pump on my Edelbrock, but still no fire. May attempt a rebuild this week.

Also hung a ton of Christmas lights.

Better your cables than your truck!!

I'm tired of slamming my driver side door. It needs new pins. Hopefully I can get my mechanic to change them out.

Re: What did you get done 12/5/10 edition

Spent the day in a up-armored MATV seeing the sights in Afghanistan. Met with a Provincial Governor who presented me with an Afghan rug as a gesture of appreciation and cooperation. Nothing truck related for another 7-8 months. However, that doesnt stop me from dreaming about my 79 or coming to this site occassionally. Mike
