Cut 8ft bed Into 6ft Bed

Anyone know of a shop or individual that knows how to or knows someone who can cut down a 8ft bed properly preferably in Michigan or If not Indiana/Ohio? Or have the templates that show.the cut lines around the rear marker lights?

Re: Cut 8ft bed Into 6ft Bed

I’m curious about this too, is it just as easy to find a short bed and swap it onto the frame? Can this be done to a 3/4 ton long bed - drop a short bed onto the frame??

Here’s some specs from the Wiki:
115 in (2,921 mm) (short box: ½-ton models)
127 in (3,226 mm) (long box: ½-ton & ¾-ton models)
133 in (3,378 mm) (1-ton models)

frame has to be shortened as well

There are tons of threads on this, two main methods if it’s diy. Cut 12 and 8 inch sections out and weld back together or cut and tip the flanges. If your paying someone, buy new bedsides. The labor costs will kill you
